How a UAE Industrial Coatings Manufacturer Reached Page One and AI Search for Its Core Product Terms

An industrial paint and road-safety manufacturer in the UAE moved from near-zero search presence to top-six rankings on its core product terms and a number-one mention in AI search. Local discovery grew in parallel, with hundreds of map interactions and direct phone enquiries from buyers.

What we were up against

  • No ranking for core product terms

At the start of the rankings programme the brand did not appear for the product and manufacturer keywords that matter most, so high-intent buyers searching for a thermoplastic paint supplier never saw it.

  • Absent from AI search results

Buyers increasingly ask ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews to shortlist suppliers. The brand was not cited in any of these answers, missing a fast-growing discovery channel.

  • Thin local discovery and credibility signals

The Google Business Profile was underused as a demand channel, and the site had limited authority signals and technical content to convince procurement teams evaluating experience and compliance.

  • Demand split across channels and hard to prove

With enquiries arriving by phone, map directions and web form, there was no clear read on whether marketing was reaching real buyers or simply producing traffic.

How Leadmetrics helped

Leadmetrics ran a single multi-channel programme built around how industrial buyers actually research and compare suppliers. The focus was discoverability across traditional search, AI search and local search at the exact moments buyers evaluate road safety and coatings partners, backed by technical content, authority building and active local presence.

  1. Audit & Diagnosis

    • Audited the website, Google Business Profile and search presence against the way procurement teams and contractors research suppliers.
    • Mapped the buyer discovery journey across AI search, organic rankings, People Also Ask, directory mentions and local map results.
    • Identified the product and manufacturer terms with the clearest buying intent as the priority targets.
  2. Strategy & Planning

    • Set a six-month strategy to make the brand visible and credible wherever buyers validate a road safety and coatings supplier.
    • Prioritised product and manufacturer keywords first, then broader category terms, rather than chasing everything at once.
    • Planned a technical content programme covering materials, application methods, durability and UAE climate factors to build expertise signals.
  3. Execution

    • Published a library of technical blog articles on road marking materials, methods, surface preparation and UAE-specific performance.
    • Ran a consistent Google Business Profile posting cadence and kept the social channel active to support credibility and local reach.
    • Built authority through directory listings and off-site mentions, and set up rank tracking and AI search monitoring to measure real movement.
  4. Monitoring & Optimization

    • Tracked keyword positions, AI search mentions, local interactions and organic traffic through weekly and monthly reporting.
    • Used the data to confirm which product terms were converting to rankings and which category terms still needed work.
    • Framed results by source so phone, map and web demand were each read correctly rather than merged into one number.

The impact delivered

  • The brand reached position one in the UAE for its primary manufacturer keyword and ranked in the top six for seven core product terms, including positions two, three, four and five on closely related thermoplastic paint searches.
  • The brand is now listed in the top position in AI search for a direct brand query and surfaces as the number-one result in Google AI Overviews for two of its product and location terms.
  • Across roughly six months the Google Business Profile drove 613 interactions, including 546 direction requests and 32 direct phone enquiries, with a 5.0 average rating from reviews.
  • The programme delivered 116 marketing actions over the engagement, including 11 technical articles, 29 local posts, 30 authority backlinks and 15 social posts, creating a durable foundation for ongoing visibility.

Key lessons learned

High-intent product and manufacturer keywords convert to rankings faster than broad category terms and reach buyers who are already close to a purchase decision, so they are the right place to start.

Technical buyers increasingly ask AI assistants to shortlist suppliers. Strong product pages and expertise content can earn a brand a cited, number-one mention in those answers.

Industrial enquiries arrive by phone, map directions and web form. Reporting each channel separately gives an honest picture of demand that a single lead count would hide.
