How a Multi-Campus Training Institute Turned Course Search Into a 2,900-Enquiry Admissions Engine

  • India (Kerala)

A two-campus Indian training institute offering aviation, logistics and professional courses relied on walk-ins and referrals. An admissions-first programme of course-SEO, Google Business Profile, paid search and answer-engine optimisation turned course search into a predictable enquiry engine.

What we were up against

  • Hard to Find for Course Searches

The institute wasn't ranking for the high-volume aviation, logistics and course-fee searches prospective students rely on to shortlist.

  • Unpredictable Admissions Pipeline

Enquiries depended on walk-ins and referrals, with no measurable, repeatable lead flow to plan intakes around.

  • Unoptimised Paid Search

High-ticket course campaigns needed tighter targeting and structure to keep cost per enquiry sustainable as spend scaled.

  • Two Campuses, Scattered Local Presence

The Google Business Profiles for both campuses weren't yet working hard as direct enquiry and campus-visit sources.

How Leadmetrics helped

Leadmetrics built an admissions-first demand engine that put the institute in front of students at every research step — course search, Google Business Profile, course content, paid search and answer-engine optimisation — and optimised it month over month.

  1. Audit & Diagnosis

    • Audited the website, technical and on-page SEO and benchmarked course-keyword rankings
    • Reviewed the Google Ads account structure and both campus Google Business Profiles
    • Mapped the student enrolment journey from first search to enquiry
  2. Strategy & Planning

    • Built an admissions-first strategy across SEO, GBP, course content and paid search
    • Prioritised high-intent course keywords: aviation, logistics, course fees and near-me searches
    • Set monthly targets for blogs, directory listings, GBP posts and reviews across both campuses
  3. Execution

    • Published course and career-focused content and built out directory and business listings
    • Optimised both campus profiles with steady posts and ran a review-generation programme
    • Structured Google Ads by course line and optimised content for AI answer engines
  4. Monitoring & Optimization

    • Tracked enquiries, calls, rankings and cost per lead in weekly and monthly reporting
    • Cut cost per lead while lifting click-through rate to a five-month high
    • Scaled the best-performing course campaigns and reinforced top-ranking pages

The impact delivered

  • Close to 2,900 admission enquiries were captured in the CRM across the engagement, the large majority driven by high-intent paid search.
  • Between May and September 2026, Google Ads delivered 1,025 conversions from about 15.7 lakh of spend at a blended cost per lead of roughly INR 1,529, with click-through rate climbing to a five-month high of 13%.
  • 14 of 16 priority keywords reached Google's top 10 (41 of 60 tracked on page one), including #1 for 'logistics courses after 12th' and a climb from #29 to #7 on 'aviation courses' (33,100 monthly searches).
  • Across both campus profiles, Google Business Profile drove 1,079 direction requests and 266 calls over six months at a 4.6-star rating, and the institute is now recommended #1 by ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overview for its brand and courses.

Key lessons learned

High-volume course and fee searches are where enrolment decisions begin; top-10 visibility compounds into real enquiries.

For multi-campus institutes, each Google Business Profile is a direct enquiry and campus-visit channel, powered by recent reviews.

Tightly-themed course campaigns plus strong rankings and AI recognition make admissions predictable and cost-efficient.
